UnseenPeople.org
A few days ago I wrote about the idea I was working on:
I have also been working on an idea I had while in army- a user-edited infobase of all the slums, villages and refugee camps in the world. that aggregates information about them, their needs, and who is or was involved in helping them.
Now, the project has a name- UnseenPeople.org.
Why that name? Simply, it describes what we do, which is to contain information about all the “unseen people” in the world. Slightly off-whack, doesn’t have anything to do with an infobase at all, and sounds like something out of a horror movie. That’s good, because it makes it a whole lot less drab than something called “Beneficiaries DB”, the original name we started with.
I’ll write about how all this came to be sometime later. School starts early tomorrow, and the new week begins…
