Spring Break: Setting Off

Left Stanford this morning to spend the week travelling with my girlfriend and a few other friends from Singapore. I will be joining them today in Poland, and will be visiting Warsaw and Krakow before returning to spend a few days in Cambridge with them.

As a backpacking student on a cheap ticket, this flight has been quite a nightmare. My flight to New York was delayed by 6 hours, and as a result I’ve missed both my connecting flights and am now faced with a 26 hour layover in London’s Heathrow airport.

To make matters worse, my flight to Poland tomorrow is a British Airways flight- and their flight crew is on strike. The lady at the info desk says it has a “80% chance of taking off”, which definitely is  encouraging news at this point. Not a very good start to Spring Break, I’d admit.
