Warsaw has a simple parking philosophy: if there’s space on the pavement, park as much of your car on it.

It’s admittedly quite shocking for a first-time tourist in the city, to be walking along the pavement and suddenly have a car mount the curb and stop inches away from you. We must have amused quite a few drivers today, a group of young Asian students running away from parking cars.
