The Polish countryside, from my train window

We took the train from Warsaw to Krakow, and I was able to see the Polish countryside. It was drastically different from Warsaw- a more simple existence, in colors of green and grey in the first light of dawn.

Krakow is the 2nd most important Polish city, in the south of Poland. It traditionally was one of the seats of culture and learning in Poland (it is home to many universities), and is a quaint town of a Poland of yesteryear. Its buildings, preserved and left untouched by the years of communism, retain the charm of old Poland- a vast difference from the communist-era buildings of Warsaw.
